Home for mentally challenged children and youth is institution of social importance. Since its foundation, Home worked with mentally
challenged and tried to achieve full social inclusion and participation of people with intellectual disabilities. Government did not
always give necessary support to the institutions of this kind.
The donations, a recent course of action, started at the end of the old millennium, when the Home had many financial difficulties,
due to war, sanctions and carelessness of the state. First donations, large shipping of new and used equipment that arrived to Home,
were the result of personal engagement and self initiatory organization of good-willed men. This equipment was incredibly important because,
when the country was not in the position to give the required financial means for the Home, it enabled the continuation of activities.
